Get Your Engines Started and GOOO!!!!!!

Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend!
I know the family and I did. It was my husband (Rick)birthday on Sunday. The big 3 7 !!!
We started celebrating on Saturday. My husband's mom got Rick a room at a hotel close by. We went and met my husband's side of the family for supper to celebrate 2 very special occasions. Rick's birthday and Rhonda & Mark's 22 wedding anniversary. My daughter had a blaster at the hotel which had a pool, I swear she is part fish. Our nephew, Jarad, stayed the weekend with us.
Which was great we haven't been able to spend a lot of time with him lately. Him being a teenager and all. My son (Keanul) loved it, because now his cool cousin has a drivers licence and a car!! So nothing cooler to a 13 year old boy than that. On Sunday, Rick, Keanul, Rozalynn, Jarad, and I went bowling. Boy, did we have fun. It was fun watching the boys goof off and being silly. It was a great time and a great mental picture moment. Later on that evening my daughter went with grandpa to the car races. Which she loves her grandpa time. My husband and I went for a motorcycle ride and visited old friends. Keanul and Jarad went cruising on there own. It was a great great weekend with family and friends.

Friends

There's nothing like old friends. You know the ones you may not talk to everyday. But, the ones you can talk to once or twice a year, and you just pick up were you left off. You got to thank God for those friends. My girlfriend (Renee) we have been friends for more than 10 years now. But we are sometimes both so busy with are normal day lives or routines. We don't get together very often. Which is sad, because I just love her so. She is one of those friends that can just make you laugh even when your not in the mood for laughter. Or someone you can cry with. I can just spend hours with my friend and family just talking about stupid stuff. Love my old friends.

I was watching Crash which is a great movie. If you haven't seen it, you should watch it. It's about racism at it's finest. It makes you think about the other people and yourself. That we are all the same no matter where you from. It saddens me to think that people can be so cruel to each, especially to those we don't even know, or even more so if you do know them. But what is sadder is that every once in a while I think the same. The stereo types are what goes through our minds when we see certain races. Which is sad on my part. We all have changes in our lives and some we need to change sooner than others. It isn't always about race, it could be about anything that we don't consider "normal." And what is "normal"? is there such a thing as "normal"? If there is a guideline to be "normal" how come no one has never seen it? So as person I am trying to grow, be consider it of others, and to have compassion for other as well. It's easy to judge others, but it's not easy to be judged by others. I also think to myself who am I to be judging anyone anyways. That's not my job. That's the job of our creature, the Lord! In all reality that's who we should fear judgement by.

I saw this ad and just thought it was funny.
Well, Rozalynn's dance recital was great. She is getting so big. It's great to see each year and how she is improving. My son Keanul started hunter safety last week. Uggghh! But he is so excited to be able to hunt soon with Grandpa and his cousins.

Most of us at one time or another have felt like everyone is against us - like there is no one we can trust.
It's a terrible feeling to sense that the people around us are two-faced, talking behind our backs, wishing the worst for us.
The ultimate hurt is to be betrayed by someone we consider a true friend. In describing this painful experience in his life, David overshadows what Jesus Christ will endure: slander, malice from enemies, betrayal by close friends (Jn 13:18-38).
Like David, Jesus is deeply troubled and hurt by this, yet the Lord's gracious forgiveness extends even to those who betray him unto death. (Lk 23:33-34)

Dang Family

Even though I do not have a big family, boy do we have big issues. Sometimes I feel like freaking out. All I have is my mother and sister, and they drive me nuts. When they are together they are so inconsiderate.

My daughter and I went to the movies after school today. It was her treat for getting a hundred on her spelling test. After the movies I noticed my sister called me. I listened to my voice mail and she said that my mother got done with work early, and ask if we would like to eat supper tonight around 6 o'clock. It was about 5:30 when I called her back to see what was going on. When she answers; here to find out they are already at the restaurant, and getting ready to eat. They went out for fish fry. So lets just say the food comes quick.

What the @$#%! Why even bother calling me and inviting my family and I for supper. So I say to my sister I thought you said 6 o'clockish? It's 5:30!! So I tell my sister never mind. So she has my mother call me. Why is it that sometimes I'm too soft. All I wanted to say was #@$% off!! But instead I said "that's okay!" "I'll just see you guys tomorrow."

Gosh I don't know how I am related to these people. I swear! It's just rude to call someone and invite them for supper. Then say, "Sorry! we are already getting ready to eat!! Okay I'm done venting. Have a good night .

Dancing Princess

This is a picture of my daughter Rozalynn in her tap dance costume. Today was dance rehearsal and than picking up her pictures. Rozalynn is so excited for Saturday. It's the big day of dance!
They handed out certificates tonight. She was so proud to get her 3 year dance certificate. She giggles with excitement when she heard her name being called. I can't believe it's been 3 years already! Time goes by so fast sometimes.
I can remember her first year of ballet, she was 4 years old. She looked so cute in that maroon and white tutu. Now she has been doing tap dancing for 2 years. She's getting pretty good. Still a little shy at first, than just shines at end.
