On to New Beginnings

All last week my family and I have been helping my mom and dad move. They bought a new house. So today I am pooped from all the cleaning and the painting. Today is going to be a relaxing day for me. No work! well maybe some laundry.
As I was cleaning up the old apartment that my mom lived in for 20 years. It was a little bit sad to see it go. I lived there throughout my teenage years. Lots of good and some bad memories. As we cleaned out the attic on Saturday. I was like a kid in a candy shop. Found lots of old letters from friends, pictures, and an old passport from when I was 11 years old. I also found an old diary from when I was a 11 as well. It was fun looking in on the past. Remembering stuff that I have forgotten throughout the years.
As I read though my diary I was thinking to myself. Boy! my kids have so much of a different life then what I had as child. For the better of course. But, I also didn't need my diary to tell me that either.
I'm so proud of my mom though. She finally moved out of her tiny little apartment into a pretty spacious house. Finally no more bumping into people when visiting mom's house for holidays. I know we try to be a close family, but not that close. Seeing how her apartment size was probably 700 square feet. Hence the word tiny. Way to go Mom!
