The girls did awesome!! It was fun to watch all the teams perform. The girls came in 2nd place for there divsion. This was great seeing how it's the first competition, and first year for most of the girls on the team to ever cheer. We have a long season ahead of us. I hope the girls can keep it up. They still have 8 more competitions to go.

                   The Girls also won the Celebrity Swag Award.

What's New!

It seemed as though summer has few by! What a great summer it has been. Rozzy turned 11 years old this summer. We had her birthday in the dells. One of her favorite places in the world. What a great time I had with those girls. If you want entertainment hang out with a group of 11 year old girls!

I throw my niece Kristine's baby shower at the beginning of August. Made my first fortune cookies with fortunes. Yep! I was pretty amazed with myself. She had her beautiful twin boys a week later. My nephew Justin got married at the end of August to a wonderful women Erica. It was an awesome ceremony. I pray for both Kristine and Justin- patience, never ending love, faith, and acknowledgment that you sometime have to give up control, and pick and choose your battle. I find this works with both marriage and with children.

Now that school has started I fill a bit of sadness. Keanul is a senior this year in high school. It's hard to believe. Poof! He has grown. Rozzy is in 6th grade now. She likes to go shopping and putting on makeup, like a young lady. Poof! She is growing up. It seemed like yesterday we were teaching Keanul how to ride his bike in St. Mary's parking lot. And our dog Bootsy was chasing after him. It seems like yesterday that all Rozzy wanted to do was go shoot hoops in the back yard.

Rozzy has joined a cheer leading competition team over the summer. Her first competition is this coming Saturday. She is pretty excited! She will be dancing again this year. That will start next week. She is keeping us very busy.

Love

Sometimes it hard to find the words to say to comfort the people you love so dearly. Its hard to try to be the rock and be strong for those you love. What to say, what to say? I guess I say how much I love you and how much God loves you. He doesn't want pain to fill us, just love. It's crazy that just 1 month ago today that we were sitting in the hospital. Praying for a very special women to stay with us. How selfish is that. Knowing that when I arrived at the hospital that its not good when they put the family in a private room. But yet you pray for a miracle to happen. Hanging on to any good news. But yet the miracle is that it was her time to go home. But yet the selfishness comes back, and you say," that I didn't have enough time with her!"" I want her back!!" Yet God has other plans. Sometime, like other times, God's plans for life is not the same as ours.

God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. Love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgement, because in this world we are like him.

This is Mom. She is Love. She lived with God, and God lived through her.

Time Flies When Your Having Fun!!

Boy it has been busy, busy!! I have been putting in alot of hours at work this. We have started a new computer data system. Which instead of creating less work it is creating more. Lets just say its not very user friendly. Football season is upon us. Keanul's first scrimmage game is tonight. He will be playing for the JV team this year. Let hope the team does well this season. This Sunday we will be signing Roz up for basketball. Lets hope that practice and game time are at convenient times for Rick or I to be able to take her. School is just around the corner. Which is hard to believe, and also sad to know that the kids are getting up there in grades. Keanul will be a sophmore in high school. Rozalynn will be attending a new school this year. 4th grade. yikes! With the new school season comes a new dance season. Which I will be working agian this year at the dance studio. Can we say busy!

Clarity!!

There is nothing like waking up in the morning with a clear vision. Today I woke feeling refreshed and happy to be here. I started my morning with my morning cup of coffee, and sat out on our deck listening to the birds chirping away. The morning was beautiful with a small amount of dew on the lawn that shimmered.

We have a small bird feeder in the back yard that I just love. We have different birds that come and visit through out the day. There is a momma and daddy cardinal that visits quit often. As one eats the other watches over. Today the daddy came over to the momma, and gently kiss her on her beak. It was so loving and affectionate. It just goes to show that we are all Gods creatures.

Present Time

It's crazy how the mind wanders from you. To live in the present is very hard to do. I find myself thinking of everything, but also nothing at the same time. I can be thinking of yesterday events, and then come back to today's within seconds.
The mind and the brain is an excellent machine.
God has created us well. Hasn't he.

Well Rozalynn Birthday was last Friday. Here is a picture of the group of girls that came and helped us celebrate her birthday. We all had lots of fun. We started by eatting than we went to the pool in Ft. Atkinson. Then all the girls came back and had the birthday cookie. Yup! birthday cookie. Roz didn't want cake this year. So I found a big birthday cookie. Yummy!! The sleep over went well and all the girls were good! What fun.

Well Rozalynn's 9th birthday is on Friday, but we celebrated a little early. We have alot of birthday feastivities going on. Some of our family is going camping. Rhonda through a beautiful party for all the girls in the family. Well the ones that lived close. Some of our girls live in other states. Thank you so much Rhonda for hosting a wonderful party. Roz wanted to put on her fairy costume on when we got home. Not much else has been going on. So I will have to write more another time.

New House!!

For all that don't know we moved!! Rick and I purchased our first home at the end of May. I started painting right after we closed on the house. Than we started moving in everything the next day! We had a great crew of friends and family that helped us. Thank you to all of them. We are pretty much settled in and it's feeling like home. I am sorry that I haven't posted any pictures yet. Since we moved I haven't located my camera yet. It's around somewhere. And I haven't found my cord to my phone that hooks to the computer. They are some where together. So when I hunt those down I will posted some pictures.

Rick and I have been busy. Sorry I haven't posted anything lately. Moving, graduations, and working has been keeping us busy!

Approved!!!

Rick and I found out last night that we were approved for our home loan! We are very excited.
Next week we will find out if the assessment went okay. So if everything goes according to plan we should be closing on May 29th. Rick and I will be first time home buyers! So that means at of boxes... That part I'm not so excited for.

Last night was great! We are graduates of the First Citizen's Academy. I made it though my speech without fainting, jumbling over my words, or spitting all over the place. Which is good. By the time it was done I was starving. I didn't eat anything because of my nerves. Listening to everyone speeches and stories of the last 8 weeks was great. I would encourage anyone to do this. It truly was an awesome experience. So if they offer it in your community definitely sign up for it. You won't reget it. It's a lot of fun!

Graduation Night

Well tonight is Rick, Llyle, and I graduation for the Milton Citizens Police Academy!
Tonight we each have to give a speech before receiving whatever that you receive. I am so excited and nerves. So I have had my speech ready for a couple of weeks. I got all of the tweaks out. So here it goes for those of you unable to attend tonight's ceremony.


When my husband first approached me about the Citizen's Academy I must say I wasn't that interested in it. But I am sure glad he talked me into it. It has been a great eye opening experience for me.

I never gave much thought to what a police officer has to go through on a day to day basis. Never thought about the training needed, the different types of people they have to encounter, nor about how much they have to know. To always be one step ahead of the game at all times! To always have the upper hand.

If you were to ask me today was there anything you disliked about this course? I would say No! Nothing! I Loved it! I looked forward to each and every week. To learn something new was fun and exciting!
There is so much that I learned. I don't know where to begin.

The defensive tactics training was great learning experience. We only got a two hour glimpse, but what a work out.

Traffic stop week. I learned a very big lesson this week. How and why a police officer stands and positions themselves the way they do. During this exercise I was shot; luckily it was only a toy nerf gun. I positioned myself wrong on my routine traffic stop. You normally wouldn't think that standing 2 inches closer would make a difference, but when you are a police officer it does. It could mean life or death.

Domestic violence- it truly can be a silent killer. Thank you to the YMCA for all there help, support, and work that they do for the Rock County area.

Driving a police car - What fun! I could not image having to drive in a high speed chase. I could hardly go through some of the course at 20 mph.

Shooting guns - For me this was my first time ever touching, holding, and shooting a gun. Thank you to Lt. Smith and Officer Chesmore for showing me the safeties of this.

My ride along with Officer Spangler. I really enjoyed. Even though the town was quite I got to know one of our finest. I think that Officer Spangler is a great addition to our police force. It's comforting to know that we have someone so passionate about their job and career choice.

To intern Dillion I just want to wish you all the luck in the future. You will make a great police officer.

Crazy Week!

Well this weekend is Keanul and Roz dance recital. This week my plate is full between working and working at JPAC. Last night was my only night of rest. As long as I can get though this week it should be all good.



Rick and I sighed up a few weeks ago for the Milton Citizen Police Academy. Llyle is in it as well. It is an 8 week program. Each week we have been learning something new about what it takes to be a police officer. From defensive tactics to driving a police car. It has been great fun, and it's has been such a learning lesson. We only have one more week left. This week we will be visiting the Rock County jail and the 911 center. Next week is a graduation. At graduation we have to write a speech and give it at the graduation. I am not looking forward in speaking in front of a crowd. I have my speech almost done. Just need some fine tuning. I have already read it to Rick and Keanul. Rick was surprised I have a speech made out already. I need to set an example to Keanul. He always does things last minute. I guess Rick is a last minute person too! No surprise yeah! lol. Must be a guy thing.



Rick and I have found a house and have gotten an accepted offer. It is here in Milton not far from our current residents. Now we have to wait for the bank. So much is changing on a day to day base on the bank requirements. We are praying that we can get it. So wish us luck and throw out a few prays. We should hear something hopeful next week sometime.

I Know " Where have you Been?!"

I'm sorry that I haven't not been a very good blogger. I have been busy with things. Running the kids around and working. Not to much new though. Rick and I are trying to quit smoking. We started to take Chantix last week. So hopeful this will work. We have been looking at houses for the past few weeks. Alot of potentials, but haven't found the one yet.

The dance season is almost over. It ends at the end of April. Rozalynn and Keanul's dance recitals will be May 9th. The bad news is that Roz's is at 10 am and Keanul's is at 3pm. So I am volunteering more so I can get as many free tickets as I can. That will help out the family coming. So maybe they only have to pay for one show instead of 2 shows.

Wednesday Already!

The beginning of the week seemed to fly bye. So much for living in the moment. That is one of my New Year's resolutions. I think sometimes I just get caught up in my thoughts. I need to start living in the present and in the moment.

Yesterday was Mom's Birthday. Happy Birthday to a very special lady in my life. I had a lovely lunch with her. We have been very blessed to have her another year with us. And I can't wait for the next B-Day! Each day is a blessing. I am greatful to God to have been apart of this truly wonderful, kind hearted, loving, nurturing, friend, and mother. She is truly one of a kind.

Just Another Monday

I hope that everyone had a great New Years!

It's back to work and the kids are back to school. Roz stated last night she was ready to go back to school. Keanul on the other hand not so excited. Isn't it great how your children have different out look and opinions on the same subjects. Rick is on second shift this week and I think for a few weeks. Which will leave alot of the running at night for me.

Well that about all for me today. Need to go and pick up Roz at school.

Safe and Happy New Year's

Well Christmas is done and over with. It seems to come so fast and leaves just as fast. I think the kids got all they wanted for this Christmas and more. Rozalynn got her Bratz dolls and Keanul got his coat that he wanted.

New Year's Eve is tomorrow. I can't believe the year is almost done. Crazy! the years seem to fly bye when you get older. More than likely I will be in bed before mid-night. Rick and I don't go out on New Year's Eve too many drunk drivers for us. It safe just to stay at home. So all you brave partyers please be careful and get a designated driver.

I would also like to say Happy Birthday to a very special Uncle/Brother in law, Mark. I hope that you had a wonderful B-day!

Salvation Army!

Well we have most of are Christmas shopping done. We just have a few gifts for Roz than we are done. Thank you Jesus. The only bad thing about last minute shopping are the last minute shoppers. Where is the Christmas joy? the Christmas spirit? Why are some people so rude, impatient, and unkind. Is this what Christmas is truly about now. No giving, kindness, and joyfulness. What has happen to it all. Have we became a society of greed, and whats in it for me people? I pray that we have not. This is a joyful time of the year for this is when our savior has been born. The true meaning of Christmas, Jesus.

But, I think God answered this question last week for me. Rick and I went to Wal-Mart for wind shield wipers, and as every year the Salvation Army volunteers were out. For that night the youth hockey team were out singing and ringing their bells so proudly. Every time someone put money in the bucket they would hoot and hauler! They were such alively bunch of boys. Dedicating there time to help for such a great cause. You couldn't walk away without laughter or a smile. There is Christmas spirit, kindness, and joyfulness. It's right in front for us. We don't have to look very hard for it. God shows us when we need to see it, and reminds us when we need to remember. Isn't he awesome. Thank you God for the reminder.

Simple Plans

Well yesterday the kids got there snow day. As I stayed in my pajama until noon. It was nice. We got a lot done. Keanul did the dishes, and Roz and I cleaned and straighten up her room. That was a chore all in it's own. The kids probably wished they had school. lol.

Today I plan to do nothing. Well some running around. I'm going to return the Christmas lights that I got last night. Half of them worked and the other half didn't. Which sucked. I didn't get the Christmas tree done yet. But it's up. So, I'm going in the right direction. Than I'm going out to lunch with my mother and sister to discuss our Christmas plans. Which should be fun. That's all I got going on today. A nice light schedule. Just trying to keep it simple.

Simple is good.

Snow Day!

I think tomorrow might be the first snow day. Keanul is praying that it is. All the after school activities were cancelled tonight. Seeing how it is raining right now. Soon the snow will be coming. Which is not the best driving weather. So I am greatful I don't have to work tomorrow. But that's Wisconsin weather for you.

The family and I went down to Grandmas' house for supper. She made a wonderful roast for supper. For most of you that know Jeani this is a great accomplishment for her. She doesn't cook much. I'm so proud of her. Way to go Mom! Love you. Mom and I watched some old home videos. Which is fun to do. It's almost like finding an old roll of film that you forgot to develop.

Cold!!! BURRRRR!!!

It is so cold this morning. I think it's about 2 degrees on this peaceful Sunday morning. I'm up early. Got to go to work. When I took Emily out this morning; she didn't want to stay out there long. She did her business and it's time to go back in.
Last night was Rick's work Christmas party. We had a great time. Rick seems to really get along well with his coworkers, but why won't he. He is a very likeable guy. This is are 9th Christmas party with Jones Dairy. Every year seems to be getting better. Maybe it is that I am getting to know the people better. For those that know me; I can be quite a talker. For those that I don't know very well; I can be very shy. I am not good at striking a conversation like my hubby. Rick can strike a conversation with almost anybody. That's one of his great qualities that I love about him.
Well got to go to work now.
