I was watching Oprah today. On her show today was a women that was mentally and physically abused by her husband for more than 10yrs. I think to myself thank God that I have ever been with a man like that. Even though I have been with some real winner myself. I guess what I don't understand is why do women stay with men that are down right evil? And that is exactly what it is EVIL! I guess I have been blessed in a since of knowing my worth as a women. That I am thankful for finding and being blessed with a loving, encouraging, supporting, nurturing husband.

I guess today I would just like to pray for all the women that are out there.
All the women that are being abuse by a husband, a boyfriend, a friend, or family member.
I pray today this is the day you say that is enough.
I pray that you say to yourself you are worthy!
I pray that you say to yourself I am a strong women, a smart women, a beautiful women, and I deserve better than this!
I pray that God is in your heart. That you trust in him to lead you.
I pray that you find yourself, and love yourself, and know you are not alone.
I pray for you to be blessed and be fruitful in the life you are meant to have!
Amen!

Sometimes allowing yourself to cry is the scariest thing you'll ever do.
And the bravest.
It takes a lot of courage to face the facts,
stare loss in the face,
bare your heart,
and let it bleed.
But it is the only way to cleanse your wounds and prepare them for healing.
God will take care of the rest.

Lazy Sunday

What a great lazy Sunday! It was a very nice day. Partly cloudy, not to cold, not to warm, just right. Sit on the back porch with family and watching the kids play in the backyard. One of those moments in life that you take a mental picture and just hold onto.

I took Rozalynn to get her picture taken today. What a cutey! so proud to be in her custom for dance. As the photographer was getting ready to take her picture she said "Okay, smile!" But she was already gleaming with anticipation so then she looked and said " Look at you! your an old pro, don't need to tell you when to smile." Roz even gleamed more. How big she is getting. I remember when she was a baby she hated to get her pictures taken. Nothing like a cranky baby that you can't get to smile. Not even for a cookie. Guess cookies can't buy you everything!

Today I had a great day with my hubby. I love the times we spend with each other. Today we went and did a little shopping, lunch, and dinner. Wonderful, wonderful day. It's been nice and relaxing. Yesterday was a stressful day.
My day started off on the wrong foot. Work sucked. Sometimes I wish I could trade in my co-workers. I work in a small lab with a couple of lazy guys. I don't understand some men. Why do they have to be reminded what there job details after 3 years of service? I don't understand. Some of the job is like laundry if you put it off it just keeps piling up. Because we have the same work day in and day out. So why is it that they need to be reminded to do there jobs? It reminds me of my son when he was in grade school. You know when you had to remind them to pay attention in class, and stop talking, and stop jump, etc....
So then I get home from work and my son gives me his weekly report card. And I almost jumped out of my skin. The only thing I could think of saying is what the @$$! It was the worst one ever. 4 F's, 1 D+ !!! What the heck is that? So as my hubby and I proceed to give the talk of what is going and life bit. We leave to go for supper. Can't find my daughter Roz. After school she wanted to play outside with her friends. No where to be found. Sheer panic sets in after 10 minutes of going to peoples doors and driving around. 20 minutes later we find her in one of the neighbor girls house playing. Of course the last place you think of. So needless to say both my 2 lovely children are grounded this weekend and driving me crazy!!! Joys of motherhood sometimes.

Sometimes I wonder why does some days feel harder than other days? One day your as happy as can be. No worries, not a care in the world, just enjoying life. And other days you're like when is this day going to be over with! I think today is one of those days of when is this day going to be over with. As I am balancing out our check book(fun fun). Not looking so good for this week. Why is it when you have kids it seems as though you never have money? Okay maybe I won't put all the blame on them. Well not today anyways. It's just sometimes you work so hard for your money and for what? It to be gone within a few seconds. Crazy!! I think I need to start simplifying my life. I have been taking baby steps though. I love playing bingo. I would go every Sunday. It was my time, a break from the kids. But financially it was breaking the bank. So I have been clean and sober for almost a month now. But now I have no my time. I need to think of something I can do that is my time. My husband tell me to find a hobby. But what hobby can I do that doesn't cost me any money? that's what I would like to know!

As my daughter went to give my husband a kiss good night. She says to him " I need to go to bed I have a big day tomorrow!" My husband says " Do you mean date?" She says "No Dad" " A big day." " I have school and dance class tomorrow." she said with such excitement. Just think if everyone was that excited for the next day. That is just an example of the energetic personality she has. Just vibrant and electrifying. Everything is just exciting and new. She is 6 years old and she is showing me what life should be all about. The joy of it. How blessed I am to have 2 wonderful kids. Thank you Lord.

I was going down memory lane the other day. Thinking about when my sister and I were younger and some of the stupid stuff we did. Not to mention that my sister is older than me. She would talk me into doing some stupid stuff. Just like the Christmas Story movie. I too have stuck my tongue onto a metal fence in the winter. As I was stuck there my sister laughing hysterically and then running off leaving me there. Or the time she was learning to ride a bike and ran me over, because she said she couldn't turn. One of things I loved as a child was running around the neighborhood playing outside until dark. What great times! I had a lot of great times with my sister when we were younger. Now like some sisters the teenage years were not as great. A lot of fighting over clothes, shoes, and almost everything in between. Since we have grown are friendship has grown too. But sometimes I think I was adopted into this family. Because I am sooooo different than my sister and my mother. There way of thinking is sometimes so out there and so far fetch. I can't believe we are from the same blood line, household, or even raised the same. I love my family with all my heart. Just that my sister has so much drama in her life. It's like she lives for it. And my mother sometimes is so self centered and thinks of nothing but money. Yes she is a gold digger, but she hasn't struck gold yet. Crazy!! Like all families this family has dysfunction too.
